Monday, May 18, 2026: Today on Beyond the Gates, everyone gets gussied up, Lia twists Derek’s arm, and Grayson gives Ashley something important.
It’s cotillion day in the DMV, which means the extended Dupree clan and their loved ones are getting dressed to the nines. Although Anita had warned she likely wouldn’t be up to attending, she waltzes into Nicole’s living room looking totally glam. She’s soon followed by June, who’s had a major glow-up courtesy of the various women. Eva is on hand to do her hair, and Kat promises Nicole she’s play nice… or at least try. Eva is thrilled when Samantha presents her with a special birthday present.
Ted has a lovely talk with Vernon, who is surprised and happy to have been invited to take part in the festivities. He also offers to try and help Smitty accept the possibility of Martin running for Senate, but the journalist says they can talk about that another time. Eventually, the woman leave Nicole’s house and head to the Dupree mansion, where Jessica and Samantha will change into their dresses and have photos taken, as is tradition. And by episodes end, Samantha is descending the staircase, looking every bit the deb.
Hayley Loses Her Cool
Bill, caught up in memories of past cotillions, realizes he’s never really talked to Hayley about her past. She tries changing the subject, then slips more of her (incredibly) slow-acting drug into his cocktail. When he suggests they go visit her hometown so he can meet her relatives and best friend, Hayley — aka the worst con woman ever — flat out snaps at him. Calming, she says the people in her past were mostly criminals whom she wants nothing more to do with.
Derek Gets A Shock!
Jacob finds out from Ren that there’s a big meeting of the plasma ring bosses, who are thinking of moving their operation out of Garland. He tries getting more info, but is shut down. Meanwhile, Lia calls Ren to say that Grayson will be bringing the first delivery from the clinic, which should prove they can easily move the operation over there. She meets with Derek, who still doesn’t want Grayson at the clinic. Lia convinces Derek in a vaguely-threatening way to change his mind.
Grayson presents Ashley with a binder filled to the brim with everything she’d need to know in order to take care of his mom if something happens to him. (That’s an awful lot to dump on someone you kinda aren’t involved with any longer!) Ashley’s freaked when he admits to believing he might not survive the night. Later, Grayson steals plasma from the clinic, only to be caught by Derek. He threatens to call the cops, only to have Grayson say they already know! Derek refuses to believe the lab tech, only to be told that if things don’t go as planned, Ashley’s life will be in danger!
Next on Beyond the Gates, despite Grayson’s best efforts, everything is about to go wrong… and the impact will ripple across all of Fairmont Crest!

Tomas and Kat look for a link between Lynette and the plasma ring.
