Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke Olesky has explained her absence from the WWE tributes to her father during the promotion’s recent shows.
Hogan passed away after a cardiac arrest last week at the age of 71, and the tributes have been pouring in. WWE honored the Hall of Famer before ‘SmackDown’ on Friday and Monday’s episode of ‘Raw’.
His son, Nick, joined WWE superstars for the emotional tribute on Monday, but Brooke was nowhere to be seen, having also been noticeably absent from Friday’s event.
The 37-year-old has taken plenty of heat online due to her no-show, but has clapped back with claims that she was not invited.
“For those of you giving me c*** for not attending my Dad’s tributes, @WWE did not extend an invite,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Wednesday morning.

Nick, who apparently received an invite, made an emotional statement before ‘Raw’ kicked off and cut a distraught figure as he stood next to WWE stars from various eras in the company’s history, with his wife, Tana Lea, joining him as his late father received a 10-bell salute.
“He captivated millions of people and inspired them around the globe,” Paul Levesque, A.K.A. Triple H, said. “We would not be standing here right now – all of us together – if it was not for him.”
Brooke, two years older than her brother, previously revealed that she had to “step away to protect my heart” during the final two years of Hulk Hogan’s life amid rife rumors that they had been estranged for some time.
Nick, on the other hand, remained close to his father until his passing.
The Daily Mail contacted WWE for comment but hadn’t received a response as of this writing.
