Kylie Kelce shared her biggest fear over her and husband Jason Kelce’s oldest daughter Wyatt heading off to kindergarten in the fall and how she’s “trying her best to release her anxiety” about it.
Kylie Kelce is fielding her anxiety.
The 33-year-old shared that her biggest fear about her and husband Jason Kelce‘s 5-year-old daughter Wyatt going off to kindergarten this upcoming school year is her being exposed to lots of germs in the classroom.
“I try my best to just release all of the anxiety that is associated with it,” Kylie, who described herself as “germophobe,” told Today in an interview published Aug. 11. “We try our best to wash our hands really well at home and hope that when they’re at school, they wash their hands just as well.”
However, the Not Gonna Lie podcast host—who also shares daughters Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 4 months, with Jason—understands that there’s ultimately not much she can do about the exposure.
“You’re about to go to school, touch every surface and lick your hands,” she explained. “The cold that you are about to bring home is going to be ‘peak school.’”
One thing Kylie isn’t worried about? Wyatt making some new friends in kindergarten. After all, she described her eldest as a “social butterfly” and has worked hard to teach her kids how to be respectful of others.

“When your kids leave you, you hope they’re polite,” Kylie said. “You hope they use their manners. You hope they speak up for themselves. You hope they advocate for themselves. You hope that they’re kind to their peers, their classmates and you hope that they’re respectful of the teachers.”
And while she won’t stop instilling those messages, she also noted that raising children is completely unpredictable. Case in point: All of her daughters have reached important milestones at different ages.

“None of our kids walked at the same time, none of our kids spoke at the same time,” Kylie said, “and so to hold everyone to the same exact standard just seems old school and silly.”
