President Donald Trump loves to play golf. A lot.
When he is on the golf course, cameras are rolling at all times. Unfortunately, that does not always work out for him, as displayed last month when he got exposed for cheating.
Trump’s golf habit costs taxpayers millions.
Last week, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin met in Alaska to start off their numerous discussions. It was the two leaders’ first face-to-face encounter since 2019 and their first standalone summit since a 2018 meeting in Helsinki.
Despite heavy discussions on trying to initiate peace between Russia and Ukraine, Trump still clearly had golf on the brain.
Just one day after meeting with Putin, Trump was right back on the golf course, pictured being escorted to his Trump National Golf Club.
He may love the sport, but it’s very expensive for the American people, and citizens of the United States are warning him to slow down.
“Trump is willing to cut Medicaid but not his golf trips,” one person said.
“In just seven months, Trump has spent the equivalent of 132 presidential salaries’ worth of taxpayer money playing golf. Most of which is paid directly to his private business. 57 MILLION DOLLARS of taxpayer funds squandered,” a second person wrote about Donald Trump.
“This is so screwed up because so many American People are struggling to even eat right now & we the taxpayers are spending a whopping $52,788,799 for Trump to play golf on a regular basis. That’s equivalent to a 132 years of Presidential salary & his first term he spent $155.5 mil,” a third person wrote.
“Trump has played golf 38 times this year. A single golf weekend costs taxpayers approximately $3 million. Nothing in the “Big Ugly Bill” will reduce Trump’s golf outings. Yet children and seniors will go hungry, hospitals will close, people will die,” a fourth person commented.
“They think this is a good thing. Translation – after Trump wasted a bunch of resources on a summit that yielded nothing he spent a bunch of U.S. tax dollars at one of his golf clubs,” one final person added.

Donald Trump flew over 4,000 miles and rolled out the red carpet for Vladimir Putin in Alaska. He even showcased his power as four F-35s and a B-2 Spirit bomber flew over their heads.
Unfortunately, he left empty-handed after some three hours of negotiations.
The summit between Trump and Putin, during which the U.S. president flexed his deal-making skills, did not achieve a major breakthrough in peace negotiations.
Trump was left in the awkward position of declaring “no deal” had been reached.
“There were many, many points that we agree on,” Trump said per USA Today. “A couple of big ones that we haven’t quite gotten there,” he added. “So there’s no deal until there’s a deal.”TaggedGeneral
