There is no doubt that Sydney Sweeney is a bombshell, but not even her good looks can keep her out of the latest controversy.
American Eagle’s “great jeans” advertising campaign with the actress is at the center of the latest political firestorm online, drawing accusations of racial undertones in its messaging.
Sweeney, who rose to fame for her starring roles in HBO’s “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus,” is the star of the clothing retailer’s fall campaign, with the tagline, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”
The whole purpose of the ad is to be a play on words, “Great genes.
On American Eagles’ IG page, Sweeney stands before a poster of herself titled, “Sydney Sweeney has great genes,” before the word “genes” is crossed out and replaced with “jeans.”
“Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color. My genes are blue,” Sweeney says in one video.
The campaign has sparked backlash online. Some social media users have accused American Eagle of playing to a white supremacist notion that the human race could be improved by breeding out less desirable traits.
In the meantime, Sweeney is going insanely viral over a jaw-dropping twopiece blue bikini that she wore. One picture shows her lying on her stomach with a booty taking center stage as she eats some grapes.
A second picture had her boobs on full display as she sat in a beach chair and smiled.

“Classic charm meets denim dreams—Sydney’s got that timeless glow ,” one person said.

“She’s a gorgeous, hot young woman. So what!?!? The socialists aren’t gonna tell us what to like. Men 101: Straight men like hot women. It is what it is,” a fourth person commented.

“Sydney Sweeney has good jeans’, clever wordplay, great ad. But of course, the perpetually offended twist it into some kind of white supremacy signal. How broken do you have to be to see racism in denim? Support @sydney_sweeney. Not everything needs to be dissected by woke paranoia,” one final person added.
