Karoline Leavitt has a reputation for provoking conflict, politically and otherwise.
But even her harshest critics admit she’s got legs that could compete with a runway model. Still, those legs couldn’t rescue her latest outfit choice, which has set the internet talking for all the wrong reasons.
On August 9, Leavitt posted an Instagram photo inside the West Wing.
She stood between Trump’s Deputy Communications Chief, Margo Martin, and Deputy Assistant, Meghan Bower. The two aides wore loose, matching outfits in muted colors.
Determined to look different, Leavitt chose a tweed mini two-piece that channeled both vintage grandma and TikTok Barbie.

Her followers wasted no time in weighing in.
“You look 50 how is that possible,” one wrote bluntly.
Another took aim at her missing crucifix necklace, asking, “You still wearing your crucifix while lying to us? Or taking it off and gifting it to a person of more moral foundation?”
For some, the outfit was simply another entry in what they call her long list of “fashion felonies.”
Leavitt’s style has shifted since joining Trump’s inner circle, with critics saying she’s swapped her taste for a MAGA-approved wardrobe.
Lately, she’s been spotted in outfits that they claim do little to flatter her figure. Yet the internet still zeroes in on her legs. TikTok counts over 37 million posts under “Caroline Leavit Legs,” spelling mistake included, and more than 39 million for “Karoline Leavitt crosses ankles.”
Trump, however, appears more interested in another feature.
Speaking to Newsmax host Rob Finnerty on August 4, he remarked, “It’s that face, it’s that brain, it’s those lips, the way they move, they move like she’s a machine gun.”
Whether fans love or hate her, Leavitt remains a magnet for attention. She knows to create headlines. But this time, her tweed ensemble took center stage, and for many fans, it was a look that no amount of leg power could save.
